Male part of the attachment contains 5 elements (pic.2)

1) The core has the spherical head with the groove on the end
2) Outer nut
3) Internal spring
4) Small internal nut
5) Male casing

Four elements from first part are the internal components of the attachment.
Male causing manufactured in two kinds:
With occlusion abutment and without it (pic.3). During chewing of the food, the pressure working on the prothesis, causes displacement of the male to the jaw crest. When this movement stops, core head of the attachment extended up to the end of its course, stopping near the lower edge of female. This stop prevents any further movement of the prosthesis downwards, but there is a risk of breaking head. Occlusal abutment saves male core head from extra extending at the lower position and breaking.
